On our return to civilization, we stop at Lee's Ferry as a raft arrives. This is where we will end our raft trip tomorrow afternoon.
After Lee's Ferry we stop at Navajo bridge whilch carries US89A over the Colorado River.
The new Navajo Bridge as seen from the old bridge, the latter of which is now used to carry foot traffic. We are out on the old bridge to look for Condors. Bob&Anni picture.
Looking upstream from the bridge
We spot a Condor - that small black dot down there on the canyon wall.
Anni zooms in on this Condor. Condors are being reintroduced back into nature and all are tagged. Anni got the tag number.
We are on to Page, AZ and go to see Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. This is the bridge over the Colorado just downstream of the dam. You can see the rafts parked down at the river - we will take these rafts tomorrow.
After the dam, we visit the overlook of Horseshoe Bend in the Colorado River just about sunset
